For this Baltimore engagement session, we spent the afternoon exploring Mount Vernon before making our way inside The Walters Art Museum. With historic architecture, tree-lined streets, and gallery walls filled with art, the different settings gave us so much variety while still feeling connected from beginning to end.
Their neutral wardrobe was perfect against the warm stone, greenery, and rich colors throughout the museum, creating a session that felt romantic, stylish, and distinctly Baltimore.

Engagement Photos Around Mount Vernon
We started outside in Baltimore’s Mount Vernon neighborhood, wandering around the park and surrounding streets.
The historic row homes, stone steps, and architectural details made beautiful backdrops without needing to venture far. We kept moving through the neighborhood, stopping whenever we found an interesting pocket of light or a setting that caught our eye.
From the greenery around Mount Vernon Place to the brownstone facades nearby, this part of the session had an effortless city feel that contrasted beautifully with where we headed next.

The Walters Art Museum Engagement Photos
From the streets of Mount Vernon, we continued the session inside The Walters Art Museum.
The museum completely shifted the look of the photographs. Grand staircases, columns, archways, and open interior spaces gave us a more architectural setting before we moved into the galleries.
Surrounded by deep jewel-toned walls and ornate artwork, the gallery portraits became some of my favorites from the session. Their simple, neutral looks stood out against the richness of the rooms, while the museum itself added so much texture and character to every frame.
We finished near the windows, where the afternoon light poured into the museum and gave us a softer, more intimate ending to the session.

Planning an Engagement Session in Baltimore
One of my favorite things about photographing engagement sessions in a city like Baltimore is how much variety can exist within just a few blocks. Pairing the streets and architecture of Mount Vernon with The Walters Art Museum gave this session a mix of outdoor portraits, historic architecture, art-filled interiors, and quieter moments without ever feeling like two separate shoots.
For couples drawn to art, architecture, and a more fashion-forward approach to their engagement photos, The Walters and the surrounding Mount Vernon neighborhood make an incredible combination.
