A Spring Wedding in Virginia Beach
Spring weddings always have a certain feeling to them. The gardens are in bloom, everything feels fresh, and the day naturally lends itself to spending time outdoors whenever possible.
This April wedding in Virginia Beach was filled with thoughtful details, beautiful spring florals, and so many joyful moments shared with family and friends. From a quiet morning getting ready to portraits in the gardens and a lively reception, every part of the day felt relaxed and full of celebration.

A Calm Morning Getting Ready
The day began with a quiet morning spent getting ready alongside family and friends.
One of my favorite parts of every wedding day is watching all of the little details come together. The dress hanging by the window, handwritten letters, delicate shoes, and the bridal bouquet all become part of the story before the ceremony even begins.
As everyone finished getting ready, there was a mix of excitement, happy nerves, and plenty of laughter filling the room.

Saying “I Do”
As guests gathered for the ceremony, you could feel the anticipation building.
One of my favorite moments was watching the groom’s expression as he saw his bride walking down the aisle. It’s a moment that lasts only a few seconds, but it’s one of the most meaningful parts of the entire day.
Surrounded by the people who love them most, they exchanged vows and officially began their next chapter together.

Portraits in the Spring Gardens
After the ceremony, we spent time exploring the gardens for portraits.
The spring blooms, classic brick architecture, and beautiful greenery created such an elegant backdrop. Every corner seemed to offer another beautiful place to stop.
Some of my favorite images from the day came during this part of the afternoon. The midday light, flowing veil, and incredible bouquet all came together beautifully against the gardens.

An Evening Full of Celebration
As the sun set, everyone gathered for an evening of dinner, heartfelt toasts, and a packed dance floor.
One of the things I loved most about this wedding was how present everyone was throughout the day. There was so much genuine laughter, so many hugs, and plenty of moments that happened naturally without anyone needing to think about the camera.
It was the perfect way to end such a beautiful celebration.

A Day to Remember
Looking back through this gallery, what stands out most isn’t just the beautiful details or the spring colors. It’s how much joy filled every part of the day.
From a morning getting ready to portraits in the gardens and an evening spent celebrating with family and friends, this wedding was such a wonderful reminder that some of the best moments are often the simplest ones.
